My good friend Tessa asked me to look into Prince Albert and Queen Victoria for their proposal story, I'm excited to report that this is exactly one of the stories I've been looking for when the female proposes to the male!
Queen Victoria felt that Albert would ever be able to propose to the Queen of England so on October 15, 1839 she proposed to him! She wrote of the day, "It was a nervous thing to do, but Prince Albert could not possibly have proposed to the Queen of England."* Their wedding rings were etched with the date she proposed to him.
Anybody know of any other unique interesting historical proposals??
